Liam Gallagher's bodyguard 'arrested over death threats'

Liam Gallagher's business partner, bodyguard and "constant companion", has reportedly been arrested for sending death threats. Steve Allen, managing director of Gallagher's clothing line and production company, allegedly sent bullets to two people. Allen, 41, was arrested as part of an investigation into letters received by Sam Berry and Claire Humphries, a couple who were due to testify against him in a civil case. According to the Sunday Mirror , Berry is suing Allen over a concert safety company they co-owned, Risks Contained. With three cases ongoing, Berry has already won more than £54,000 from his former business partner. They recently received threatening letters at their home in Worcestershire, including the following message, accompanied by bullets: "Drop the case, or the next case will be yours." Allen, a former bodyguard, has worked for acts including Led Zeppelin, Blur and Pulp. Described as Gallagher's "constant companion" in a 2009 Times article , Allen is apparently managing director of the Beady Eye frontman's fashion brand Pretty Green, film company Savile Row Films, and production company In 1 Productions. He was with Gallagher when the singer lost his teeth in a 2002 brawl . "A man was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill," Hampshire police said. "He has been bailed to return to a West Mercia police station."
