Cardiff today - Shakespeare and Wales, preparing a food fight
Good morning Cardiff! This morning at County Hall (following a heated full council meeting last night) the licensing committee will meet at 10am and the council appeals committee will meet at 3.45pm. The Fred Keenor Statue Committee at 12pm will launch the fundraising campaign to erect a statue in honour of the legendary footballer and the 1927 FA Cup winning team. The Shakespeare and Wales conference will take place at Cardiff University's main building from midday. Headed by director Michael Bodganov the event aims to shed new light on Shakespeare's relationship with Wales. More here. The first schools farmers market will take place this afternoon at Ysgol Pencae in Llandaff starting at 3.15pm. This evening Darren Floyd's new exhibition will open at The Gate .
