Chelsea draw Cardiff City in FA Cup fifth round
The FA Cup holders, Chelsea, will face Cardiff City, runners-up the previous season, in the fifth round of this year's tournament at Stamford Bridge, though the tie of the round is arguably the south coast derby between Southampton and Portsmouth at St Mary's Stadium. The teams have not met since April 2005 when both sides were in the Premier League, and the Saints won the last FA Cup fixture between the sides in the same year. Cardiff and Chelsea's time apart has been even longer; the Bluebirds have not faced the Londoners since 1986. Manchester City's reward for their hard-fought victory over Scunthorpe yesterday is a home tie against Stoke City, who knocked out Arsenal at the Britannia Stadium earlier in the day. Notts County, the only League Two side left in the competition, will earn a trip to Fulham if they overcome Wigan in their fourth-round replay. Wolves will face a Midlands derby against Aston Villa should they beat Crystal Palace in their replay, while Tottenham or Leeds will travel to the Reebok Stadium to face Owen Coyle's Bolton. Birmingham, conquerors of Everton in the fourth round, will fancy their chances of a quarter-final spot having been drawn away to Nigel Clough's Derby County and there will be at least one side from outside the Premier League in the last eight after Reading drew West Brom. FA Cup fifth round draw in full Wolves or Crystal Palace v Aston Villa Manchester City v Stoke City Derby County v Birmingham City Bolton Wanderers v Tottenham or Leeds Utd Chelsea v Cardiff City Fulham v Notts County or Wigan Reading v West Brom Southampton v Portsmouth Ties to be played 13 and 14 February
