Matt Lucas and David Walliams returning to BBC1 with airport comedy
The creators of Little Britain, Matt Lucas and David Walliams, are returning to BBC1 with a new comedy series set in a busy airport. The show, a six-part series with the working title Come Fly With Me, will feature the pair playing a number of new characters. There will also be guest appearances by other actors throughout the series. Mark Freeland, BBC head of comedy, promised "boom time once again for dress, wig and make up suppliers in the UK". Come Fly With Me is in pre-production and will be filmed in HD for broadcast on BBC1 later this year. Freeland will executive produce for the BBC, along with Geoff Posner of Little Britain Productions. Adam Tandy is the producer and Paul King will direct. • To contact the MediaGuardian news desk email [email protected] or phone 020 3353 3857.
