TV ratings: More join in with Lambing Live on day two
BBC2's Lambing Live increased its audience by 400,000 viewers to 2.6 million for its second episode last night, Monday 8 March. The Kate Humble-fronted show had a 10.4% share of the audience between 8pm and 9pm, according to unofficial overnight figures. It was up from 2.2 million for the opening instalment of the farming show on Sunday . At the same time on Channel 4, Andrew Rawnsley's profile of David Cameron for Channel 4's Dispatches had 1 million viewers, a 4% share, with another 61,000 on Channel 4 +1. Channel Five's The Gadget Show had 1.5 million viewers (5.9%), also between 8pm and 9pm. The third episode of the ITV1 comedy drama Married Single Other averaged 4 million viewers (16.4%) between 9pm and 10pm, identical to the audience for its second episode last week. It opened with 6.2 million viewers, a 25.5% share, a fortnight ago . Despite holding on to last week's audience, Married Single Other still lost out to a New Tricks repeat on BBC1, which had 4.2 million viewers (17.5%). BBC2's new series A Band for Britain, in which Sue Perkins tries to save a brass band in South Yorkshire, began with 1.6 million (6.7%) between 9pm and 10pm. In the same slot Channel 4's The Secret Millionaire averaged 2.6 million (10.8%), with another 342,000 watching on Channel 4 +1. Five's For a Few Dollars More repeat, the latest in its Clint Eastwood movie season, averaged 1.4 million (8.2%) between 9pm and 11.45pm. The new BBC1 series The World's Strictest Parents began with 1.8 million (15.1%) between 10.35pm and 11.35pm. ITV1's George Clooney movie repeat, Intolerable Cruelty, averaged 800,000 viewers (9.1%) between 10.35pm and 12.25am. Sky1's primetime highlights of the Oscars had 314,000 viewers (1.4%) between 9pm and 10.30pm.
