OFT looks at Trinity Mirror's acquisition of GMG regional newspapers

The Office of Fair Trading has called for representations about whether it should investigate Trinity Mirror's acquisition of Guardian Media Group's regional newspapers, including the Manchester Evening News . Trinity Mirror already owns the Liverpool Echo and a variety of weekly titles in Cheshire and north Wales, and has agreed to buy the MEN plus a range of north western weekly titles from GMG .
