New year, same old you?

New year's resolutions are easy to come up with, but hard to keep. In fact, less than a quarter of those asked as part of a university study managed to stick to their resolutions last year. Of those who failed, many had followed the spurious advice of self-help gurus – which almost guarantees disaster. Have you made (and kept) new year's resolutions throughout the years?
