Doomed to be remembered for that Bo' Selecta parody, faded pop smoothie David has now decided to heap further ignominy upon himself with this collection of soul covers. No obvious standard is left unturned, with most receiving the kind of over-produced karaoke treatment that should be the X-Factor 's sole preserve. When he does indulge in some creative reworking, the results are even worse: see "One More Lie (Standing in the Shadows)", where a Four Tops sample is co-opted into a shoddy funky house ditty. Unfathomably redundant stuff.
