ABCs: Grim month for popular Sundays

The People and the Sunday Express were hit by double-digit year-on-year falls in circulation in June, as all titles in the Sunday popular and mid market suffered monthly and annual sales falls. Trinity Mirror-owned the People saw circulation fall by 11.46% year on year and 1.36% on last month, according to the latest Audit Bureau of Circulations figures published today. Richard Desmond's Sunday Express recorded a sales fall of 11.35% year on year and 1.36% month on month. The People's stablemate the Sunday Mirror recorded proportionately the smallest month-on-month circulation fall in June while News of the World posted the least worst year-on-year sales.
