The New Forbidden: Ain't Doin' Nothin'

This is the kind of album that got a lot of people excited about new wave in the first place: a rocking collection of hard but memorable riffs, sneered vocals, rock'n'roll attitude, demented axe solos, whoops and big choruses you could find yourself shouting along to after a few pints of lager (or even an extra forkful of Grossman's "special sauce"). Although Valentine Guinness writes the lyrics, anyone familiar with Grossman's culinary prowess might choke at the saucy lyrics. One song features a brazen suggestion for what to do with a "hot dog".
