TV series to satirise Apple's Steve Jobs

A new US comedy series, iCon, is being developed that will satirise Apple's co-founder and chief executive, Steve Jobs. According to cable channel Epix, the show is "a savage satire centering on a fictional Silicon Valley CEO whose ego is a study in power and greed". The pilot will be directed by Seinfeld veteran Larry Charles, an Emmy-winning TV writer and producer who is also known for directing Borat and Brüno. "We are attempting to do nothing less than a modern Citizen Kane," Charles said in a statement. "A scabrous satire of Silicon Valley and its most famous citizen." Charles will oversee development of the script, while the writer of the series will be Dan Lyons, a technology consultant for Newsweek who created the fake Steve Jobs blog .
