British children to star in KidsCo and Unicef TV project
The international children's channel KidsCo is to produce a series of programmes this month that encourage children to think about the world they live in. KidsCo is working with Unicef UK on the project, which will see the channel show 45-second clips of British children talking about how they would change the world. The clips will go on air in 18 languages across 85 countries and will be shown up to eight times each day. "The opportunity to create on-air content that made UK kids the stars in aid of such a good cause was very appealing," said the KidsCo managing director, Paul Robinson. Launched in September 2007, KidsCo is a global children's television network for children, formed as a joint venture channel between NBC Universal, Corus Entertainment and Cookie Jar Entertainment. • To contact the MediaGuardian news desk email [email protected] or phone 020 3353 3857.
