TV ratings: Ashes to Ashes draws 5 million
The second episode of the final series of BBC1's Ashes to Ashes attracted nearly 5 million viewers on Friday, 9 April. Ashes to Ashes won the 9pm hour with 4.858 million viewers and a 20.9% share. The series three opener had 5.498 million (22.1%) the previous Friday. Competion included ITV1's repeat of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire with 4.031 million (18.4%) between 8pm and 10.45pm. BBC2's Golf: the Masters had 1.642 million (7.3%) between 9pm and 10.30pm, with a further 82,000 (0.37%) watching the BBC HD simulcast. Channel 4's Embarrassing Bodies: Back to the Clinic drew 2.156 million (9.3%) in the 9pm hour, with a further 293,000 (1.5%) on Channel 4 +1. Over on Channel Five in the 9pm hour, The Mentalist had 1.84 million (7.9%).
