Catherine Zeta Jones: I was 'crass'
Catherine Zeta-Jones has apologised for the gushing acceptance speech that she delivered after she picked up a Tony award for best actress on Sunday evening. Zeta-Jones expresses particular self-loathing over the moment when she pointed at Michael Douglas, and said: "See that man over there? He's a movie star and I get to sleep with him every night." The comment, she says, was "crass". I do have some sympathy. As a young woman, Zeta-Jones used to get to sleep with former Blue Peter presenter John Leslie every night. So her feelings of immense good fortune at her present arrangement are surely understandable.
