Britain's Anne Keothavong and Laura Robson make winning progress
Britain's Anne Keothavong produced a surprise win over the Australian Jarmila Groth to reach the second round of the Generali Linz tournament in Austria. Keothavong, who is ranked No146 in the world, won 4-6, 6-1, 7-6 against the world No42. The Briton rallied from being a break down in the last set. The British teenager Laura Robson will play the Japanese veteran Kimiko Date Krumm in the first round of the HP Open in Osaka tomorrow. Robson, 16 and a former Wimbledon junior champion, beat the Colombian Catalina Castano 6-3, 6-3 to reach the main draw. She will face the oldest player on the women's tour when she takes on the 40-year-old Date Krumm, who is ranked No56. Robson, No201, is poised to enter the top 200 for the first time next week.
