Rebekah Brooks takes James Murdoch's place on PA Group board
PA Group, owner of the Press Association news agency, has appointed News International chief executive Rebekah Brooks to its board of directors. Brooks, formerly the editor of the Sun and the News of the World, takes over the position previously held by News Corporation's chief executive of Europe and Asia, James Murdoch. "The Press Association is a business founded on editorial content and Rebekah's understanding of the news media and her extensive contacts throughout the industry will be of enormous value as we continue to establish ourselves in the evolving digital landscape and diversify into commercial markets," said Clive Marshall, chief executive of PA Group.
