Good morning Leeds. Today I'll be at the Leeds Community News Hub at Trinity University College in Horsforth from about noon. The idea of the hub is a simple one – to provide a physical space where people from all walks of life can do journalism together. Campaigners fighting the planned closure of three mental health centres in Leeds will hold a public meeting in Leeds Civic Hall on Tuesday, February 8. The meeting, organised by UNISON, looks at the argument for keeping open the Leeds Crisis Centre and two threatened day centres, the Vale in Hunslet and Stocks Hill in Armley. Third sector support organisations Leeds Voice and Voluntary Action Leeds have agreed to 'explore and propose negotiated terms of a merger in good faith, with a view to a final announcement on a merger on or before 31 March'.
