Ditching

More post-apocalyptic carts'n' cannibalism, this one with distractingly low production values from a Northern Irish arts collective called Factotum. Set some time in the future, where society has lapsed into feudalism and mysticism, a man and woman push their worldly goods onwards in a futile search for medicine. There is a striking performance by Lalor Roddy (who was in Steve McQueen's Hunger) as the sick man, a mournful Beckettian character. Elsewhere is the unmistakable tonelessness of am-dram.
