Chris Bosh leads Toronto Raptors to victory over New York Knicks
Chris Bosh scored 27 points and claimed 15 rebounds to inspire the Toronto Raptors to a 106-104 win over the New York Knicks last night. The Raptors trailed by 14 points after the first quarter, but fought they way back into the contest, Jarrett Jack making a free throw in the dying seconds. David Lee led the Knicks with 29 points and also had 18 rebounds. "It was a tough game," said the Raptors coach, Jay Triano. "They made shots, hustled for the rebounds and I thought our guys competed really hard." In Eastern Conference a final-quarter charge earned the Orlando Magic a 96-94 success over the Boston Celtics . The Magic trailed by 11 points going into the fourth period, but won it 35-22 to snatch victory. Rashard Lewis, who made a driving lay-in with 1.3 seconds left on the clock to secure the win, contributed 23 points. "Rashard saved me," the Orlando coach, Stan Van Gundy, told Reuters. "We couldn't get Vince [Carter] the ball. Rashard bailed me out."
