Is this the last straw for libel tourism?

Libel lawyers' 100% "success" fees will slice back to 10% from 1 April, thanks to a doughty campaign from Index on Censorship, the Society of Editors and Jack Straw's willingness to see commonsense. It's not a victory in the fight to lose London's title as libel tourism capital of the world, but it's a start: and also the putative beginning of a splendid research project. Discover how many libel cases were launched in the 100% plus year to the start of next month, then contrast and compare the total to April 2011. Who says that justice doesn't care about cash registers, ringing?
