Scrabble: not playing by the rules

So, I'm not too keen on allowing proper nouns into Scrabble games either. But as far as I'm aware, it's a civil rather than a legislative matter. I think it's OK for consenting adults – and children – to play Scrabble by whatever rules they wish, whatever the leaflet may suggest, in private. What a maverick I am. Apparently.
