Youth stabbed to death outside London tube station

A 19-year-old man was stabbed to death outside a station in London last night, the second stabbing death involving a teenager in the capital within three days. The victim, who has not yet been named, was attacked in or outside Finsbury Park underground station in north London at around 11.20pm, Scotland Yard said. He was taken to hospital but died shortly after arriving. Detectives are examining CCTV footage to establish exactly where the teenager was killed. Parts of the area, including an underpass near the station and a section of the nearby Seven Sisters road, which runs beneath a series of railway bridges, were cordoned off as police searched for evidence. Forensic officers were also examining an area around a bus stop where two buses stood empty. The stabbing comes three days after 16-year-old Nicholas Pearton was chased by a mob of youths through a recreation ground in Sydenham, south London, before being stabbed to death on Wednesday. A 16-year-old boy was today charged with his murder and will appear in Camberwell Green youth court tomorrow. A further five teenage boys and a 21-year-old man were arrested and bailed. Police are appealing for any witnesses to the Finsbury Park attack.
