Friday Peony makeup, from £8, by L'Occitane L'Occitane is a bit of a hidden gem - albeit hidden in plain sight on the high street. Their scents and skincare products are excellent, and the company has a good social responsibility programme, supporting traditional production methods and setting up a foundation to help support economic development in poorer countries. Their fabulous new makeup range contains natural peony extract, comes encased in FSC-approved cardboard, is free from parabens - and comes in some beautiful seed packet-inspired packaging. The semi-sheer lipstick shades are particularly nice. Thursday T-shirts, £10 each, from Gap (In store, call 0800 427789 for stockist info) Weddings aside, what you really need for summer is a small pile of simple T-shirt basics to go with everything - shorts, skirts, even under dresses if it's a bit nippy. Look no futher than Gap, where the the best ones are currently to be found. These super-soft slubby tees keep their shape beautifully and the range of neutral and sorbet shades means you'll probably want to snap up at least a couple. Wednesday Dress, £29.99, from Chateau de Sable Sticking with the theme of summer weddings, if you have toddlers or children to dress, you should check out a new arrival to these shores, Chateau de Sable. The French label has a variety of gorgeous occasionwear for babies through to age 12. Special occasion dresses for kids are often made of starchy, itchy fabric that'll have them grumpy in no time, but this frock is very soft, for all day comfort. Love the stripes, too. Alas, I can't guarantee they won't find the nearest mud bath to splash around in, but it also has the bonus of being machine washable. Tuesday Silver bag, £16, from A|Wear Going to a wedding this summer and want a sparkly little bag? You can't go wrong with this silver cross-body number from A|Wear (unless, of course, you disobey the instructions and attempt to clean it). If you haven't yet discovered A|Wear - Ireland's answer to Topshop - check out the website. With new pieces arriving almost daily and amazing price points, it's worth bookmarking. Monday Deck shoes, £85, by Timberland A great idea from Timberland - their Earthkeepers footwear is designed to be taken apart when you're done with them. So not only are they made from sustainable materials, but they can be recycled when they get too shabby to adorn your feet. The soles are made from 42% recycled material and the laces from organic cotton, while the leather is from a tannery which gets a silver rating for waste, water and energy management. And most importantly, they are a very stylish deck shoe.
