Technology slip-up at Radio 4

The Independent wasn't the only media diary to get a rude awakening yesterday morning when Radio 4's Today programme announced: "Google's takeover of social networking site Facebook ... " Was this an unusual technology news scoop by the agenda-setting radio show? Turns out it wasn't – just one of its equally influential cock-ups. It continued: " ... has raised pressure for the site to install a 'panic button' to help protect children against being groomed by paedophiles." Oopsy.
