Financial Times appoints Caroline Daniel as new editor of FT Weekend
The Financial Times has appointed Caroline Daniel as the new editor of FT Weekend. Daniel, who currently holds the role of assistant editor, takes over on 1 June and will replace Andy Davis. She joined the FT in 1999 and has held posts including comment and analysis editor, White House correspondent and, during the dotcom bubble, IT correspondent. "She has done an outstanding job editing and developing the comment and analysis pages in the FT and is ready to lead the future development of FT Weekend," said Lionel Barber, editor of the FT. Daniel has previously worked at the News Statesman, the Economist and has worked as a political researcher for Gordon Brown.
