Signing off for the weekend

That's all from me for this week. I hope you've enjoyed the blog in its first week – let me know what you think in the comments below. But there's still plenty going on in Cardiff over the weekend, including a city centre flashmob. Tomorrow on Queen's Street a flashmob is being organised for 12.30pm. If you're not familiar with the term, a flashmob is an impromptu happening in a public place – famous ones include the flashmob dance at Central Station in Antwerp and the original big freeze in London's Trafalgar Square: The planned flashmob in Cardiff is part of a UK-wide event called The Big Freeze – participants are called to freeze mid action 10 seconds after the sounding of a horn. You then have to hold your position for five minutes until you hear another horn. For more information see the UK Big Freeze website here . People organising the Big Freeze say it is to raise awareness of the effects of climate change – they also admit it may just be a bit of fun too. If anyone is in town taking pictures or video then send me the link and we'll feature them on the blog. And of course there's the rugby. Come on Wales! Have a great weekend.
