Joe Hart looks set for first England start against Egypt
Fabio Capello is planning to give Joe Hart his first start for England in the friendly against Egypt next week at Wembley. The Manchester City goalkeeper, currently in fine form on loan at Birmingham City, has only one previous England cap when he came on at half-time in a friendly against Trinidad & Tobago in 2008. With the England manager's goalkeeping options limited after a string of unconvincing performances from West Ham United's Robert Green, Blackburn Rovers' Paul Robinson and West Bromwich's Scott Carson, Capello will be hoping the 23-year-old Hart can stake a claim for inclusion in the World Cup squad for South Africa. Capello's regular first-choice goalkeeper, David James, has only recently returned to first-team action with Portsmouth after long-term injury problems.
