The bike podcast: Solstice cycling, Lib-Con bikers and the Tour

This month Helen Pidd pedals over to Westminster to join the MPs on the annual All-Party Parliamentary bike ride. She asks Lib Dem transport minister Norman Baker how he is going to support cycling now all the money has run out; meets the bicycling baronet, Sir George Young, and encounters a rather angry Ben Bradshaw. Back in the studio, she talks Tour de France with Tim Moore, author of French Revolutions ex pro rider Brian Smith and the Guardian's own Matt Seaton . Will Wiggo get on the podium? Is anyone going to try and cheat with a motorised bike? The panel discuss all this and more. Also on the podcast this month: Lucy Greenwell gets up before the larks to take part in the Midsummer Madness Bike Ride on the longest day of the year, and we go along to witness a new initiative teaching mums to ride bikes in east London.
