Guardian Camera Club: Stan Dickinson's portfolio
Sheep Portrait, in snow . I like the feeling of interaction between the two - seems to beg a caption! The square crop is deliberate, to try and give an uneasy balance between the two Photograph: Stan Dickinson/Flickr Photograph: guardian.co.uk Cartworth Panorama, in snow . I have photographed this simple scene in various seasons, but I particularly like the subtle blue tones in the snow and sky Photograph: Stan Dickinson/Flickr Photograph: guardian.co.uk Postbox, Rue St Dominique . This, on the other hand, is an observational shot, taken late in the afternoon in a Paris street. I went for the combination of primary colours - the postbox was under some scaffolding that had been covered, at street level, with red plastic Photograph: Stan Dickinson/Flickr Photograph: guardian.co.uk Grasses in the Wind, Honfleur. Taken in the Jardin des Personalites (accent missing, I know!) in Honfleur. I was taken by the textures, colour, and movement Photograph: Stan Dickinson/Flickr Photograph: guardian.co.uk Ramsden Clough Rocks . A little different from the others, this is part of a set taken in a location close to were I live. This little valley has an air of mystery - pretty but a little eery Photograph: Stan Dickinson/Flickr Photograph: guardian.co.uk Fallen Orchid . Different again - a 'set up' studio-type image - the flower had, genuinely, fallen off, but I did arrange the composition and setting. I hope there feels to be a sort of a story in the image - not unlike the interaction between the sheep! Photograph: Stan Dickinson/Flickr Photograph: guardian.co.uk
