Harry Hill negotiating £3m move to Sky

Harry Hill is locked in discussions with BSkyB over a £3m-a-year deal that would see long-running ITV show TV Burp move to the satellite broadcaster. Hill, who has won several Bafta TV awards, is being lined up by BSkyB to front a number of potential shows on the satellite channel as well as continuing the hit TV Burp. TV Burp regularly brings in more than 6 million viewers for ITV, with Hill's contract with the broadcaster set to end in April. There has been speculation since last summer that Hill, 44, might look to move to a better-paying broadcaster. "We don't comment on talent negotiations," said a spokesman for BSkyB. ITV refused to comment on Hill's future. • To contact the MediaGuardian news desk email [email protected] or phone 020 3353 3857.
