Hoax bomb sparks Belfast evacuation
A second security alert to cause widespread traffic disruption in north Belfast has been declared a hoax. The Police Service of Northern Ireland have cleared the area around York Road and up to 50 families have been allowed to return to their homes. Many had been staying at a local evangelical church while army technical officers dealt with the device. It came 24 hours after disposal officers defused a bomb left by republican terror group Óglaigh na hÉireann on the nearby Antrim Road in the north of the city.
