Laura Robson eyes Wimbledon upset after draw pits her against Jankovic
Laura Robson will have all eyes on her at Wimbledon on Monday when she takes on the fourth seed Jelena Jankovic in a hugely difficult if exciting first-round match. The 16-year-old, ranked 236, took a set off Daniela Hantuchova in the first round last year and will be hoping to cause a major upset by taking out the former world No1 in a match set to be on Centre Court. The other British women were handed relatively easier draws, with the US Open junior champion Heather Watson taking on an Italian qualifier Romina Sarina Oprandi, ranked 140. '"I'm very excited and I'm very determined but most of all I want to really enjoy the experience," Watson said. "I don't know much about my opponent but I've been looking her up on the internet and I've asked a few people about her to get some tips on playing her."
