Ali Dizaei convicted
From the Guardian: The Metropolitan police commander Ali Dizaei was today convicted of charges that he falsely arrested a man he claimed had assaulted and threatened him. Dizaei, 47, had stood trial accused of misconduct in public office and attempting to pervert the course of justice. A jury at Southwark crown court found him guilty of all charges.
