Holly Garside (age 4) Smethwick, West Midlands Anthony Browne explains why he chose her drawing as the winner: “It was extremely difficult. Some pictures were obviously by artists and illustrators who had spent careful hours creating their compositions. Some adults probably hadn’t drawn since childhood, but produced brilliantly expressive drawings.
