NatWest ticked off over school account

Our school has a PTA account with NatWest. The treasurer has moved on and we decided to change the signatures on the account. It took a month of visiting the branch before we finally got the correct documents by visiting a different branch. Hearing nothing for six weeks, we were told the papers had been lost and filled in incorrectly. We filled in new forms. Staff confirmed that everything was in order and said it would take three weeks. A week later, I found nothing had been done. The documents were still waiting to be sent off. After another two weeks, the branch said something else was wrong with the documents and they would be sent back. I was promised a phone call to let me know what the problem was. No one rang. We need the PTA account to bank money received from fundraising and to pay for Christmas events. DH, Brighton After a phone call from head office, the branch managed to put the new signatures on your account in time for Christmas. The bank says you shouldn't have suffered such delays but can't explain why it took so long. It has added £50 to your PTA account. • Email Margaret Dibben at [email protected] or write to Margaret Dibben, Your Problems, The Observer, Kings Place, 90 York Way, London N1 9GU and include a telephone number.
