Lord Bragg's last honours

Today, sadly, marks the last South Bank Show Awards . Monkey is expecting Melvyn Bragg to sign off by making a newsworthy speech but also hears there are some other surprises due later at the event at the Dorchester hotel. Suggestions that they include Peter Fincham announcing a new prime time ITV1 arts show are apparently wide of the mark.
