Mark Dolan on The World's... and Me

In the first episode I meet people who have taken plastic surgery to extremes. This is Dennis Avner from Nevada, aka Stalking Cat - who has had upwards of 20 procedures over the last 15 years, all without anaesthetic. Here he’s showing me the size of the last fur ball he coughed up… Photograph: Channel Four Photograph: guardian.co.uk Me, a plastic surgeon and his wife, who has had more than 40 enhancement operations. It’s a competition as to which of the three of us looks the weirdest Photograph: Channel Four Photograph: guardian.co.uk For the second programme I met some of the world's most identical twins to investigate how close two human beings can be – including these sisters in Thailand who, astonishingly, share the same husband. They met me in LA in very secretive and controlled circumstances, insisting I shoot them in black and white and from a certain angle Photograph: Channel Four Photograph: guardian.co.uk The psychic twins, Terry and Linda Jameson, predicted 9/11. And of course they knew I was coming. Terry and Linda are inseparable and claim to exist in each others' heads Photograph: Channel Four Photograph: guardian.co.uk I spent time meeting the world's richest teenagers: here I'm with a wealthy young Arab – and I’m not the first person pretending to laugh at his jokes. A massive chain of clothes shops, of course. This is at the grand opening of her 60th branch… Photograph: Channel Four Photograph: guardian.co.uk Multi-millionaire teenager Lacey and I, relaxing on her little weekend boat. I’m disguising massive seasickness. It was interesting to see how wealthy people in different cultures go about passing down their wealth to the next generation Photograph: Channel Four Photograph: guardian.co.uk I encountered some of the world's fattest families – I wanted to try and understand how the family dynamic might play its part in the global obesity crisis. Sixty stone Manual Uribe loves his car so much, he lives in it. Manual was the fattest person on Earth, but is now the record holder for losing the most weight – although he’s still got some way to go... Photograph: Channel Four Photograph: guardian.co.uk This is 46 stone Michael Hererra … Photograph: Channel Four Photograph: guardian.co.uk … who you can see here having a Gastric bypass operation, which is significantly more drastic than the fitting of a gastric band and is increasingly popular in the US. The operation was a big success – and he’s already lost five stone • Mark Dolan's adventures begin tonight at 10pm on Channel 4 Photograph: Channel Four Photograph: guardian.co.uk
