Staffordshire and Derbyshire councils unify IT services

Staffordshire Moorlands DC, High Peak BC and Lichfield DC said that the joint procurement will enable "significant efficiencies". High Peak Community Housing is also part of the deal. Under the agreement, Northgate will provide each authority with a "sustainable platform for innovation" in a bid to achieve "much-needed economies of scale". The organisations have said that they will work collaboratively to develop the unified ICT service, and hope it will help transform service delivery for the benefit of their residents. Chris Elliot, head of transformation for High Peak BC and Staffordshire Moorlands DC, said: "We have looked at how we can respond to the economic challenges that we face. Unifying our ICT services is integral to changing the way we deliver transformed services to our residents. We are delighted to be working with Northgate which shares our vision and has the track record to deliver."
