City AM turns PM for election results

The London freesheet City AM will become City PM tomorrow with a special general election results evening edition. The special edition will aim to cover what could be an unusually late confirmation of the election winner, due to factors including the possibility that no party will gain an overall majority and the surge in postal votes , which take longer to count. City PM, sponsored by the financial spread-betting firm IG Index, will be distributed to evening commuters in the City, Canary Wharf and Mayfair. The editor of City AM, Allister Heath, said: "This is an extremely exciting chance to be one of the first publications to print the result of the election. We're very confident this will be a success and, supported by IG Index, look forward to entering the evening newspaper market for just one day."
