Watch Jake Bugg, Hot Chip, Bat for Lashes, Kindness and Primal Scream play live at guardian.co.uk/music

Should the shorter days and longer nights bring you down, fear not because this week we'll be hosting a series of lunchtime gigs by a handful of our favourite acts. BBC 6 Music is staging the hour-long shows at Maida Vale studios in London, and as well as listening to the performances, you'll be able to watch all the action on theguardian.com/music. First up on Monday is Jake Bugg – the rising talent from Nottingham, who Sarfraz Manzoor met in May this year for the Observer . Visit theguardian.com/music from 12.10pm – that is, just past noon – to find the page where we'll be hosting the action. The gig should last for about an hour, and afterwards there'll be edited highlights on the site, too. The following day it's Hot Chip, who Michael Hann caught up with recently . On Wednesday, Bat for Lashes will be doing her thing. If you missed the interview with her in the Observer Magazine, here it is . On Thursday, it's Kindness – as featured in the Guardian Guide just the other week . And on Friday it's one of the UK's best bands, Primal Scream . And your host? 6 Music presenter (and Observer columnist ) Lauren Laverne. Learn more about the 6 Music sessions . For more on 6 Music, take a look at our interactive timeline , celebrating the station's 10th anniversary.
