South Africa's rainbow writers

As the World Cup kicks off in South Africa we look at the literary state of play in the rainbow nation. We meet Deon Meyer, one of a growing band of crime writers who are taking to the international stage. We tallk politics and the word with the poet and essayist Antjie Krog, boarding school comedy with the children's writer John van de Ruit, and we find out how one young writer, Niq Mhlongo, is bringing the language of the townships into literature.
