Charities innovate in the face of public spending cuts

On 2 February the Guardian Christian Network hosted a discussion on homelessness. It was a chance for Guardian staff and others to question people who work with London's homeless on a daily basis. The question and answer session highlighted encouraging projects that charities are running locally and elsewhere in London, as well as the potentially devastating impact of impending public spending cuts. Here's a quick interview with Rebecca Sycamore of the Broadway Homeless Project , talking about how and why they have been using social enterprise to support the services they provide. Here is Steven Templeman of the Guardian partner charity New Horizon , speaking about the impact which spending cuts will have on the young people he works with every day. Also on the panel were Amanda Pickering and Jamie Hall from the Camden Cold Weather Shelter. This content is brought to you by Guardian Professional.
