Arsenal sign Bolivian midfielder Samuel Galindo

The Arsenal manager, Arsène Wenger, has signed the 17-year-old Bolivian midfield prospect Samuel Galindo, although he will send him straight out on loan to Spain, as he once did with Carlos Vela, in order for him to secure a work permit. It is likely that Arsenal will have to pay compensation of £500,000 to Galindo's club, Real America. "He is a player who has good technique," said Wenger. "He's intelligent, 6ft 2in, left-footed and that's plenty of qualities. He also has good stamina and can give good balls, he has good vision and we like that here. "It's true that he was at Everton but he was offered to come to me on trial. I said yes, I liked what I saw and I signed him."
