Birmingham's £10m bid for Roman Pavlyuchenko rejected by Tottenham
Birmingham City endured more frustration in the transfer market yesterday when Tottenham Hotspur turned down their £10m offer for Roman Pavlyuchenko and Lens rejected their attempts to take Aruna Dindane on loan for the remainder of the season with a view to a full-time move. Spurs are holding out for £13m for Pavlyuchenko – Birmingham offered £9m up front and a further £1m in add-ons – while Lens will allow Dindane to leave only if a £4m bid is received.
