Guardian Camera Club: Jill Henry on autumn colour photography

Faded. This is sumac, which grows wild and profusely all over the north east of America and eastern Canada. Its leaves turn brilliant red in the autumn. This little patch was in a protected spot and had faded to a mixture of pink and green. I was particularly struck by the way that the leaves curled underneath the main stem and the contrast between the bright white underside with the more colourful topside Photograph: Jill Henry/flickr Fruit. The rain seems to resonate with the autumn mood.
