Summer festivals: the lineups so far

The granddaddy of UK festivals hopes to celebrate its 40th anniversary with some panache this year, after selling out of its first batch of tickets in one day. U2 will headline the Pyramid stage on Friday, Muse look set to top the bill on Saturday, while soul legend Stevie Wonder will close the festival on Sunday night. Other likely acts include N-Dubz, Vampire Weekend and Boy George What? V festival When? 21- 22 August Where? Hylands Park, Chelmsford, Essex Who? Rockers Kings of Leon will headline on Saturday, with Leicester's finest Kasabian topping the bill on Sunday. Henham Park Estate, Beccles, Suffolk Cost? Weekend adult ticket £155, day tickets £65, children aged 12 or under free Who? Reading festival/Leeds festival When? 27-29 August Cost? £180 for a weekend ticket Where? Little John's Farm, Richfield Avenue, Reading, Berkshire/Bramham Park, Leeds, West Yorkshire Who? Guns N' Roses will headline on Friday, while the freshly reformed Libertines will play, probably, on Saturday.
