I was charged twice by Expedia ... and now I have been fined for it twice
I booked a hotel through Expedia and when I got my bill they charged me twice. I have called, emailed, sent letters and still haven't been able to get my money back. Finally, Expedia promised it would pay me back but never did. I'm over the limit on my card now and have been fined for it twice. I'm shocked a company such as Expedia deals with people this way. SA, London We are also shocked, but increasingly less so as Expedia appears in the Bachelor & Brignall mailbag frequently. To Expedia's credit, it was quick to get on top of this once we intervened. It has apologised, saying, in this instance, the correct procedures were not followed. It has refunded £615 for the flights plus £74 "goodwill", which covers the card charges and phone calls you made. We welcome letters but cannot answer individually.
