Leeds today: York Road Library, Kirkstall ghostbusters and Ed Balls

Good morning, Leeds. Hope you've all dried out after yesterday's deluge! Today I'm looking at changes to your bin collections which the council hopes will save more than £2 million. What's making Leeds tick today? Fly-tipping and anti-social behaviour around the Old York Road Library in East Leeds is the subject of a post over at the new Coven LS9 Forever blog. Campaigners opposed to a waste incinerator in East Leeds have welcomed a new public consultation exercise by the council on the No2Inicerator blog. The Wharefdale Observer reports how campaigners battling against hundreds of new homes on former green belt land in Menston are recruiting celebrities to help their cause. Morley's MP Ed Balls has paid a visit to one of the town's biggest firms to learn all about the importance of the printing industry to the area and to the country, according to the Morley Observer and Advertiser . The Wetherby News reports a top-level meeting with bus operator First to discuss how community bus services withdrawn last month can be restored is being arranged by Wetherby MP Alec Shelbrooke.
