Northampton get Munster again in Heineken Cup quarter-final

Northampton will return to Thomond Park, scene of their defeat on Friday night , after they were handed a quarter-final against their fellow Pool One qualifiers, Munster. The holders, Leinster, meanwhile will entertain Clermont Auvergne, the side currently top of the Top 14. Ospreys, whose narrow win over Leicester is still subject to investigation after they briefly fielded a 16th man , will travel to Biarritz, the beaten finalists in 2006, with a semi-final against the winner of Munster v Northampton the potential reward. As the team with the worst record from the group stage, Northampton, the sole English side left in the competition, were paired with Munster, whose haul of 24 points was the best. Biarritz and Toulouse secured home draws with wins on Sunday , as the final round of pool matches was completed. Leinster and Clermont, with the fourth- and fifth-best records respectively in qualifying, will possibly provide the most tightly contested quarter-final and the Irish province will be glad to have secured home advantage. Victory for the defending champions would see them take on the winners of the all-French quarter-final between Toulouse and Stade Français.
