Dorset vamp PJ Harvey has announced a brief European tour for 2011. The sole UK show takes place at London's Troxy, E1, on 27 Feb ( gigsandtours.com )… The Liverpool Sound City urban festival and showcase is into its fourth year. No bands have been announced as yet but early-bird three-day wristbands are now on sale for £20 (19-21 May, various venues, liverpoolsoundcity.co.uk ) … Hoary metaller Rob Zombie plays his first UK shows in 12 years next February (16-22 Feb, tour begins O2 Academy Brixton, SW9, kililive.com ) … Psychedelic survivor Roky Erickson came in from the cold this year. Now he's hitting the road (6 Dec, Birmingham Academy 2; 7 Dec, Electric Ballroom, NW1; 8 Dec, Manchester Academy 2, ticketmaster.co.uk ) … Tom Jones and Paolo Nutini are the big names going acoustic this year in aid of Mencap's Little Noise Sessions (15-20 Nov, Islington Union Chapel, N1, littlenoisesessions.org.uk ).
